玛丽安对待爱情总抱着富有浪漫色彩的幻想,总想嫁个“人品出众,风度迷人”的如意郎君,对待感情总追求来的轰轰烈烈,浪漫传奇。对感情的表露也是十分的直白明显,以致于多次被詹宁斯太太拿来取笑。

与埃莉诺不同,玛丽安在社交上同她的感情观十分相似,对待自己喜欢的人热情十分,关怀备至,对待不喜欢的连最起码的以礼相待也难以做到,总是冷潮加热讽,给予一副冷漠的面孔。这种情感或许是当时那个时代最推崇的情感观,但简借助玛丽安充分说明了这种情感观的不妥。

玛丽安最后被威洛比抛弃,在他们所引以自豪的情感观的支配下限入痛苦的深渊,无法自拔,差一点丢掉性命,也给朋友和家人带来了不可摆脱的痛苦。这就是过于感性的弊端。

但抛开玛丽安“感情有余,理智不足”的缺点,她也是个十分优秀的姑娘。,玛丽安聪明机智,有正义感,对于自私狡诈的势力之徒的攻击,总是立即给与不客气的还击。

她在感情上可谓是一贫如洗,“理智”上也只能仅仅被称作富有。她是个冷漠自私的人。

行事上机关算尽,貌似很有理智,很有情感,实际上满脑子歪门邪道,虚情假意。她财产不多,为了生活的富裕,先与爱德华订婚,当爱德华因为她被剥夺了财产继承权之后,又将其抛弃,转而嫁给爱德华的弟弟。

在这同时,还总是对埃丽诺进行恶意中伤,以满足自己的妒忌心理,表面上还装得无比可怜无辜。好在埃丽诺每次都能给予不卑不亢的还击,让露西无法得逞,看时真是大快人心。

露西善于拍马奉承,为此赢得了许多人的欢心,被视为掌上明珠。但要问她究竟喜欢谁,爱慕谁,我想出了金钱也别无他人了。

通过这三个人,想必作者已经把自己的观点表达的很清楚了。人要有丰富的情感,但不能感情用事。

必要的时候应受到理智的制约。简认为谨慎行事和内心冲动应保持平衡。
