隐性课程与显性课程一起构成了完整的实际课程体系，并对显性课程实施的效果有着重要的影响。国家实施的新课程也表明隐性课程正逐渐从理论转向实践，并成为日常教学工作必要的组成部分。然而英语隐性课程研究的状况却并不那么乐观。没有专门的论著，只有一些零散的以抽象方法谈及英语教学的隐性课程原理和校园文化建设的文章，而用实证方法去关注隐性课程在实际教学中的具体操作实施，尤其是班级教学过程中所隐含的课程资源使用的研究则更少。鉴于此，笔者以调查报告的实证研究形式对初中班级英语隐性课程的现状进行剖析，以期能为具体操作实施英语隐性课程提供实证参考，为进一步推进英语新课程改革，找到促进学生综合语言能力的发展的有效途径出一份力。本研究以内隐学习和二语习得等理论为依据。研究的主体部分是对温州市实验中学的30个班级的416名学生和27个英语教师关于班级英语隐性课程现状的问卷调查。通过调查初中英语教师对英语隐性课程的认知度，初中班级英语隐性课程物质要素的现状和初中班级英语隐性课程精神要素的现状三方面来了解初中班级英语隐性课程的现状。同时运用现场观察法对10节课堂上的隐性资源使用状况进行了课堂观察。并且对初中3个年级英语隐性课程的现状进行区别分析来了解七、八、九不同年级隐性课程的使用变化。也访谈了5位非英语班主任，了解其对班级英语隐性课程的见解。之后笔者进行了数据整理，提出研究结果讨论及建议。经过调查分析笔者得出的研究结果讨论如下。第一，大部分初中英语教师对英语隐性课程的认知不深。第二，班级教室英语元素的布置目的性不强、面积不广且内容单一第三，班级英语学习风气还有待加强。第四，大多数班级的英语评价制度不够健全，偏重知识和技能的考核。第五，班级的师生关系总体表现一般，师生缺乏互动。第六，班级的生生关系总体上较为理想，同学之间影响较大。第七，大部分教师对课堂上情感态度等隐性资源的把握较好，但对生成资源的利用不够。第八，学生和教师都较少参加英语课外活动。第九，总体上低年级的隐性课程的开发程度要强于高年级。第十，英语班主任对英语隐性课程的影响力要强于非英语班主任。针对以上结果讨论，笔者提出以下建议.第一，提高英语教师对英语隐性课程的整体认知水平，完善英语课程结构。第二，积极创设有利于英语教学的班级物质环境，营造英语学习空间氛围。第三，积极创设有利于英语教学的精神环境，增强学习英语的文化氛围。第四，坚定英语教学目标，强化英语隐性课程应用的一致性。第五，宣传英语知识，加强与非英语班主任的交流合作。
